1. Who we are
TradeCard is operated by TRADECARD LTD (company number 15431224). Contact: hello@gettradecard.com.
Registered office: Unit A, 82 James Carter Road, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, England, IP28 7DE.
2. The service
TradeCard is a portable professional identity platform for trades workers. Workers use TradeCard free of charge. Businesses access TradeCard by arrangement — contact team@gettradecard.com for details.
When a worker shares a TradeCard link, the recipient can immediately view the worker’s name, trade, experience level, and credential status without submitting a request. Workers control which sections are visible, can restrict sections to approved viewers only, and can revoke or rotate their share link at any time. Sensitive information (NI number, bank details, right-to-work documents, payroll data) is never shown automatically and always requires the worker’s explicit per-viewer approval.
TradeCard displays credential information provided and uploaded by workers. TradeCard staff review submitted documents for apparent authenticity but do not independently verify credentials with issuing bodies such as CITB/CSCS, JIB, ECS, IPAF, HMRC, or the Home Office. Credentials marked “Verified” have been reviewed by TradeCard staff; they have not been confirmed with the original issuer. Employers and engagers remain responsible for their own compliance, due-diligence, and right-to-work verification obligations.
3. Worker responsibilities
Workers must provide accurate information, upload genuine documentation, and notify TradeCard when a credential is revoked or materially changes.
Workers must be aged 18 or over to use TradeCard. By registering, you confirm you are at least 18 years of age. TradeCard may close accounts found to belong to persons under 18.
Workers are solely responsible for the accuracy and authenticity of all information and documents uploaded. Submitting false, forged, or misleading documents or information is a breach of these Terms and may constitute a criminal offence. TradeCard will cooperate with any lawful investigation into fraudulent submissions.
4. Right to work
TradeCard enables workers to store and share right-to-work documents for convenience. TradeCard is a document storage and sharing service — it is not a right-to-work verification service and does not perform statutory right-to-work checks on behalf of employers. Employers remain solely responsible for conducting compliant right-to-work checks in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 and associated Home Office guidance. Reliance on TradeCard does not constitute a statutory right-to-work check.
5. Business subscriber responsibilities
Businesses may use worker data only for legitimate onboarding/employment purposes, must not resell/share data with third parties, and must not retain worker data beyond approved access windows.
6. Intellectual property
Workers retain ownership of their personal data. TradeCard owns the platform software, trademarks, content framework, and branding.
7. Limitation of liability
TradeCard is not responsible for inaccuracies in self-declared worker credentials. Employers remain responsible for their own compliance checks and site admission decisions.
8. Termination
Workers may delete accounts at any time. TradeCard may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
